I'm Usman Ramzan. I live in Lahore, and for the last seven years I have worked on the part of software that nobody notices until it breaks: the infrastructure underneath it.

The short version of my career. I started at Emumba in 2019 as a DevOps engineer and founded their Cloud Center of Excellence, building HIPAA and PCI compliant architectures on AWS and Azure. Then Unifonic, a messaging platform sending over ten billion messages a year, where I spent three years, ran about three hundred Kubernetes nodes, and led the migration of roughly forty applications from AWS to Oracle Cloud. Since September 2025 I have been CTO at Eprecisio, where I own the technology strategy for an enterprise multi-cloud Kubernetes platform.

People ask what a CTO actually does all day. At Eprecisio I pick what we build versus buy, keep tenant provisioning fast (it went from eight to ten minutes to about fifty seconds), and make sure the platform stays reliable as it grows across twelve cloud providers. Alongside that I am fractional CTO to four companies, which mostly means turning vague technical anxiety into a ranked list of problems with owners and dates.

The thread through all of it: I like infrastructure that is boring, reliable, and honest about its costs. Downtime is the most expensive feature anyone can ship, and cost surprises are downtime that has not happened yet. I care about compliance for the same reason. SOC 2, HIPAA, and GDPR are not trophies; they are the checklist that lets a company sell to customers who need proof.
